Skapa en separat home page och blogg page

Du behöver inte add to något content till dessa pages, och du kan namnge dem som du gillar. For instance, some business websites use ”News” for their blogg page.
När du har skapat dessa pages går du till Settings ” Lä sa page i WordPress admin area.
Nu, under sektionen märkt ”Your homepage displays”, måste du klicka på knappen för ”A static page”.
Därefter kan du select the Home and Blog pages som du skapade tidigare. You should then scroll down and click the ”Save Changes” button.

Härifrån väljer du alternativet ”Blogg” och klickar sedan på sidans preview till höger för att börja customize din blogg-sida.

Dessutom kan du ändra bakgrundsfärg, text eller link på din blogg page genom att clicka på ’Styles’ icon högst upp till höger på vyn.

När du är klar, glöm inte att klicka på knappen ”Save” högst upp för att spara dina settings.
Nu kan du besöka din WordPress blogg page för att se hur den ser ut.
Men om du använder ett klassiskt theme, måste du använda metod 2 istället för att customize din blogginlägg page.
Metod 2: Skapa en Customize-sida för blogginlägg med en Drag & Drop Builder (rekommenderas)

Aktivering av temat SeedProd
När du har slutfört customize av temamallarna måste du publicera det nya anpassade temat.
Det är bara att toggle inställningen ”Enable SeedProd Theme” till positionen ”YES”.

Hi,
I created the blog page as you suggested so that I can create a static page. I like it! However, I don’t know if it’s because of a plugin that I’ve since deleted, or not, but my single blog posts aren’t showing my logo and menu. They show on the static page and on any menu page when I click on it, but they’re missing on the actual single blog posts. My blog’s title is the first thing you see at the top of the page. I need help figuring this out. Do you have any idea why?

I Know i am missing something simple. I have a website and have followed the instruction on how to set up a blog page. However the blog page says ”Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Did you set both to be the same page? Your theme may also have a setting for displaying your posts on your home page so you may want to check with your theme’s support or try swapping themes to see if that resolves the error.

I built a site a couple of years ago with no intention of ever adding a blog. Now I’d like to add one. Originally I built the home page ”latest post” not a ”static” page. Retrospectively I can clearly see the error of my ways. Is there an easy method to change things now?

Hi, thank you so much for this! How can I make it so that blog posts have permalinks like: domain.com/blog/post? It seems like the permalinks options apply to both posts and pages—and I don’t want things like domain.com/blog/about :-/

If you are an admin of your site, you may want to ensure you are in the wp-admin area of your site and under settings on the left-hand menu there isn’t a reading section when you are looking at the general settings

Great article, however, I have a recipe page and a blog page and currently my recipe page is displaying all posts (recipes + blogs) and my blog page is also displaying all posts (recipes + blogs). I want to separate these so that my recipe index page only displays recipe posts and my blog page only displays blog/article posts. How would I be able to do this?

If they are in categories then you can add the category to your menu, that way when someone clicks the category link it will only show the posts in a specific category.

I only want to have a specific set of menu items (blog and recipes are two of them)…I don’t want to add another menu item. Isn’t there a way to have my blog page on the menu and only include blog posts while my recipe menu item only include recipes?

I have a static homepage with a button link to the posts page, but that page is showing all the posts in full rather than a summary with a featured image, even though I’ve clicked ’for each article in feed show summary only’ (as opposed to full text).
Not sure what I’m doing wrong here.

If the posts are in certain categories you could either add the category itself to the menu for WordPress to generate a page listing the posts in the category or use a plugin such as the one in our article here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-list-category-posts-in-a-wordpress-post-or-page-with-shortcode/

You may want to check if in your site’s files there is a folder named blog that needs to be removed. For viewing your files you can use FTP: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-use-ftp-to-upload-files-to-wordpress-for-beginners/
