WordPress 3.9 kom igår med massor av förbättringar och utvalda funktioner. På WPBeginner följde vi utvecklingen noga och publicerade en artikel om vad som kommer i WordPress 3.9 med screenshots. Vi är glada att kunna rapportera att alla de funktioner som vi var glada över tog sig in i den slutliga versionen. I den här artikeln kommer vi att visa dig vad som är nytt i WordPress 3.9 och vilka coola nya saker du bör prova efter updating av dina webbplatser.
Observera att WordPress 3.9 är en större release, så den kommer inte att uppdateras automatiskt. You will have to initiate the updating.
TinyMCE aka Visual Editor har fått en översyn
WordPress levereras med sin egen version av TinyMCE Editor. Precis som WordPress är TinyMCE också en open source-programvara som senast fick några coola nya förbättringar. I WordPress 3.9 importeras dessa förbättringar till WordPress. Några av våra favoritförbättringar i post editor är:
Drag and drop för uppladdare av images
Du kan nu helt enkelt dra and drop images i post editor, och de kommer att uppladdas till din site. Du kan också drag and drop flera image-filer för snabbare upload.
Förhandsgranskning av Live Gallery
Innan WordPress 3.9, när du addade ett galleri i WordPress, visade det en placeholder för att ange galleriets position. Nu när du addar ett gallery kan du se en preview av det faktiska galleriet direkt i visual editor.
Resize och edit av images i Post Editor
En annan featured image som du kommer att älska är live image resizing. Klicka bara på en image och dra i handtagen i hörnet för att resize din image.
Klicka på en image i post editor och klicka sedan på pencil icon för att edit image attributes. En helt ny popup för Image Details kommer att visas. Den är mycket snyggare och har några häftiga utvalda funktioner.
You can click on Replace button to replace the image or click on the Edit original button to launch the new improved image editor without leaving the post you were editing. På edit image view kan du crop, scale, rotate image och save your changes.
Copy Paste direkt från MicroSoft Word
Bli inte orolig om du inte kan se knappen Klistra in från MS Word i din post editor. Den har tagits bort i WordPress 3.9, eftersom den inte längre behövs. Tidigare var användare tvungna att klicka på knappen Klistra in från Word när de behövde klistra in sina posts från MS Word till WordPress post editor. Nu finns det inget behov av att göra det. Post editor kommer nu att städa upp all röra som skapats av MS Word. Vi vet att många av våra användare som är Beginnare skriver sina posts i MS Word. Den här funktionen hjälper dem att undvika den hemska kod som följer med.
Knappar i textredigeraren för platt plain text
Om du gillar oss och använder plain text editor för att skriva dina posts, så finns det några små förändringar för oss i textredigerarens toolbar. Den första förändringen är att knapparna nu är platta och matchar resten av WordPress-knapparna. En annan förändring är att knappen för helskärm har ersatts med en icon-knapp.
Live Widget Previews i Theme Customizer
En annan mycket efterlängtad funktion i WordPress 3.9 är Live Widget Previews. Denna funktion kommer att allow användare att add, remove, edit och customize sina Widgets från Theme Customizer. Det är mycket enklare att använda, och du kan se dina ändringar live i action i preview-fönstret.
Den gamla vyn med widgets kommer fortfarande att finnas kvar under Appearance, för användare som hellre vill använda det gamla välbekanta gränssnittet för att hantera sina widgets.
Förbättrad vy för nya teman
I WordPress 3.8 fick vi ett new användargränssnitt för admin area. Vissa delar av admin area kändes dock malplacerade. Add new theme vy var en av dessa areas. Det nya gränssnittet för Themes utvecklades separat som en del av THX38. I WordPress 3.9 fick Add New Theme area ett nytt snyggare och mer användarvänligt gränssnitt. Search efter Themes som är hosted på WordPress themes directory är mycket enklare nu.
Playlists för ljud/videoklipp
Med WordPress 3.9 kan du skapa playlists för ljud och videoklipp på samma sätt som du skapar gallerier. Vi rekommenderar ej våra användare att uploada sina videoklipp till WordPress, men så här kan du prova den här funktionen. Klicka bara på knappen Lägg till media och ladda upp dina ljud-/videofiler. På din vänstra sida kommer du att se en länk för att skapa en playlist för videoklipp.
Obs/observera: i vissa fall kanske du inte ser en länk för att skapa en playlist för ljud eller video om du inte har en ljud-/videofil i ditt mediabibliotek, eller om du inte uploader en ljud-/videofil.
Om du klickar på den visas dina uppladdade ljud-/videofiler som redan är valda. Allt du behöver göra nu är att klicka på knappen Create New Audio/Video Playlist. På nästa vy kan du add to titlar och captions till din playlist precis som i image galleries. När du är nöjd klickar du på knappen Insert Playlist.
Det finns många andra förbättringar under huven, t.ex. new versioner av bibliotek, förbättrad autospara och fixade buggar.

I am using wordpress 3.9 and I am inserting images in the campaign description area using Add Media as a Admin User. The Description box has two tabs Visual and Text. How can I have that option for my customers when they create a campaign as a regular user joining the site, it only gives them the text option. Also most of the site is in the Text format. How can I change it to a Visual format where it’s more user friendly and they can see what they are inserting and also the site text is not boxy.

Is the Revisions button really gone? Or has it just been moved away from the Publish area?

Revisions are at the same place in the publish meta box under the visibility option. The button to change text color is still in the editor. You need to click on the kitchen sink button to show the second row of buttons in the editor and then click on the underlines A button.
If this doesn’t solve your issue, try deactivating your plugins and see if this solves the problem.

Wow you are fast! Thank you. We have the 2nd row and the Text Color box with some standard colors. The area beneath that to add custom colors is what has disappeared and I have now read that this was part of the update but that a plug-in has been developed. Another friend told me that one of the upgrades may have changed a setting in wp-config.php which kept revisions from appearing but now we fixed that. The color box issue is still a horrible ”upgrade”!

Hi! Two questions from a real beginner here. 1. We have a custom color that I used to add quite easily while in Visual mode through the drop down Text box showing the colors. The area to add a custom color has disappeared. Am I just not finding it or did they remove it? What’s the easiest way to add my custom colors to text? 2. Second question is that we seem to have ”lost” Revisions??. We make edits and need to see prior drafts. Revisions is just gone. Any help appreciated. THANKS

I have graphics that when rolled over, change to another and are links, but having updated to 3.9 the moment I alter anything at all in the page editor (eg. a margin), it drops all rollover code on the page

I am not able to add links in WordPress 3.9. I select the anchor text and then click on add click button but nothing is happening. Please let me know if you are facing the same problem.

I am also having this problem. It seems if I place more than three the new ones delete the older ones. Did you find any solution?

I have a similar problem as Anu. I can use the Text editor, but there are no menu buttons in there at all.

After updating with wordpress 3.9….when I create a new post/page in Visual mode I am not able to view the Text Editor Tool/Menu and I am not able to add a media file. It looks like I have totally lost control of the site…
could you pls help??

Could be a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all your plugins and activate them one at a time to see if you can view the text editor and add a media file. Hope this helps!

You probably have Ultimate TinyMCE installed. You’d have to de-activate that plugin or use an alternative. I had the same issue.

This happened to me to, and all my content disappeared except it was in previous revisions in Text Editor, which I was unable to do anything with. For me, it was a plugin that blocked me.
