Alla större bloggar använder FeedBurner för att bränna sina RSS-flöden eftersom det är ett gratis, utvalt system som du inte kan tacka nej till. FeedBurner tillhandahåller statistik, alternativ för optimering av feed, alternativ för publicering av feed och mycket mer. Att integrera FeedBurner och Google Analytics är ett måste för alla bloggar i WordPress. I den här artikeln kommer vi att visa dig hur du kan konfigurera dina WordPress-bloggfeeds med FeedBurner och använda det för att ta din blogg till nästa nivå.
Varför är FeedBurner viktigt för bloggare?
FeedBurner är en gratis tjänst som är hämtar med alternativ som du inte får med WordPress standard feed. Några av de utvalda funktionerna inkluderar:
- Statistik om dina RSS-prenumeranter så att du kan analysera och optimera dina blogginlägg.
- Ge dina användare flera alternativ för att prenumerera, t.ex. Email och andra feed-läsare (Netvibes, Google etc.).
- Socialt bevis (antal prenumeranter)
- Alternativ för att customize dina feeds som att ändra post headings, branding och mer.
- Alternativ för att pinga olika feed-läsningstjänster när du publicerar dina posts.
- Integrera Google Adsense för att tjäna pengar på dina RSS-flöden.

Bara med den korta listan med funktioner kan du se att det är ett måste för alla bloggar. Nu kan vi gå vidare till att konfigurera FeedBurner Account.
Setting up Your FeedBurner for WordPress feeds
Först måste du ha ett Google account (vilket Gmail-konto som helst fungerar). Besök feedburners tjänst page för att påbörja denna process.
I det första steget skriver du in länken till din WordPress Blogg Feed. Om du har sökmotorsoptimering WordPress URL-struktur, då din feed länk bör vara gillar yourdomain.com/feed/
I steg 2 väljer du rubriken på ditt feed och adressen till ditt feed. Det rekommenderas att hålla titeln på din feed densamma som din blogg. Det är bäst att hålla din feed-adress kort och minnesvärd.
Tekniskt sett är dina feeds skapade, så du behöver inte följa stegen längre. Klicka på Skip directly to Feed Management.
You will see a page with a link to tons of blogging platforms. Ignorera alltihop eftersom vi kommer att återkomma till dem senare i den här artikeln. Klicka bara på fliken Optimera som du ser i bilden under.
I steg 5 kommer vi att arbeta med att optimera din WordPress Blogg Feed. Du måste se till att du har aktiverat alternativet Browser Friendly, aktiverat Smart Feed och aktiverat FeedFlare. Du kan aktivera andra tjänster om du vill, men dessa 3 tjänster är ett måste. BrowserFriendly gör prenumereringen mycket enklare. SmartFeed säkerställer maximal kompatibilitet med alla applikationer för läsare av feed. FeedFlare bygger in interaktivitet i posts genom att lägga till email och andra alternativ för delning.
I steg 6 kommer vi att ta en titt på alla alternativ för Offentliggör för feeden. You need to allow Email Subscriptions on your site because there are users who prefer to get email updates rather than using Google reader. Pingshot måste aktiveras eftersom det meddelar tjänster när du publicerar. Feedcount widget låter dig visa upp ditt antal prenumeranter. Det är en av de bästa metoderna för socialt bevis. Awareness API är praktiskt om du försöker lista dig själv på webbplatser som BuySellAds eftersom de enkelt kan extrahera ditt antal prenumeranter. Det finns andra snazzy alternativ som Headline Animator, BuzzBoost som du kan aktivera om du gillar.
Att tjäna pengar på ditt feed är en annan bra funktion i FeedBurner förutom att det bara tillåter dig att använda Google Adsense. Så registrera dig med Google Adsense och följ deras anvisningar.
När du har gjort alla stegen ovan kan du klicka på tabben Analysera. Troligtvis kommer du att se en vy som den under eftersom statistiken inte är registrerad. Ge det upp till 24 timmar så kommer du att börja se siffror där. Använd antalet prenumeranter, clicks och andra användbara data för att förbättra din blogg. Se vad dina användare gillar och inte gillar med denna stas, och fokusera sedan på den typ av post som dina användare gillar och tycker om.
Integrera FeedBurner i WordPress
Även om du har konfigurerat ditt feed med FeedBurner i stegen ovan, men du har ännu ej riktigt integrerat det med WordPress än. Det första du vill göra är att sluta späda ut ditt feed och göra det till ett. Du måste skapa en redirect, så när användare försöker besöka yourdomain.com/feed/ omdirigeras de till din feedburner feed page. På så sätt kan du hålla reda på prenumeranterna på din blogg.
Det finns ett tillägg som heter FD FeedBurner som låter dig skapa denna redirect enkelt. Du kan också omdirigera dina feeds med hjälp av .htaccess-filen, men vi kommer inte att dela den metoden eftersom det inte är något vi rekommenderar för nybörjare.
De flesta WordPress Themes kommer nu med FeedBurner-integration som Headway Theme, Standard Theme och andra. Om ditt theme inte är kompatibelt, använd då pluginet ovan.
Lägg till Email Subscribe Box på din site
Besök först Offentliggör ” E-post prenumerationer sedan copy and paste koden de ger dig i template-filen som du gillar (mestadels sidebar.php). Kom ihåg att för att customize utseendet på ditt e-postformulär måste du ha förkunskaper om HTML och CSS.

Hi – thank you for the information. Question for you, if you don’t mind. I am trying to edit my email format for my subscribers. I changed my feeds to show only the title of the post and 100 words of content, that’s all (before I was sharing the entire blog post with photos, content, etc). I would like for it to show 1 photo from the blog post as well, but I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to do this without having to share the entire post in the email. Are you able to help here?

It seems like you are using UTF7 as your character encoding. Visit Settings » Reading, if you see Character encoding option on that page, then change it to utf8.
If you do not see it there, then you need to deactivate all your plugins and switch to a default theme. Check your feed, if this resolves the problem then probably one of the plugin or theme is the culprit.
If this does not solve it, then you need to change DB_charset in wp-config.php. Edit your wp-config.php file. if you have define( ’DB_CHARSET’, ’utf7’); then change it to define( ’DB_CHARSET’, ’utf8’); If you have neither of them, then add define( ’DB_CHARSET’,’utf8′);

I moved my blog from weebly to wordpress and now my feedburner doesn’t work or recognize my RSS Feed address. I’ve been in touch with the WP theme people about the RSS address and my hosting company. No one seems to be helping, so I thought I’d try you.
I also opened up a Mail Chimp account based on reading your related article. That too does not recognized my RSS.

We were able to access your RSS feed by simply adding /feed/ at the end of your URL.
http://www.example.com/feed/ Replace example.com with your own domain name and then use that URL in MailChimp.

Hi, I just moved a website from Blogger to WordPress.
Now Feedburner sends out not only the usual daily emails when a new post gets published. It also sends out summary emails every now and then with the last 8 articles in a list.
Feedburner was used on blogger already, so the feed didn’t change, the links are the same like before.
I think somehow FB thinks that all these posts are ”new”. Any idea how to stop this?

Yes, your feed will still be at the same URL. What you are doing, is displaying your blog posts on a custom page. This does not change the chronological order of your posts or feeds.

”Feed filesize is too large, you need to reduce its size in order for Feedburner to process it.”

I have an existing feed set up and am trying to set up a second one for a new website. In ’my feeds’ when I type in the new domain name in ’burn a feed right this instant’ I get the following message. The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 153: The string ”–” is not permitted within comments.
Is this because I have a new website where the wordpress theme is not set up yet and I only purchased the domain 24hrs ago?

I can’t find a solution to my problem anywhere so I am trying here. My blog has around 8 thousand subscribers and as of April 4th subscribers are saying they are not recieving emails from feedburnner any more. I haven’t changed anything and I still get the email. Barry, Pages in WordPress do not appear in RSS feeds. Are you sure your pages are appearing in the feed? Are you using some plugin that adds pages or other custom post types into your main feed?

Open the main page of your website and view its source. You will find your rss feed url on a line like this:
1-click Use in WordPress
Note that this link could be different, or may not be there. For example, people using WordPress SEO plugin sometimes accidentally turn off their RSS feeds. Try deactivating all your plugins and then reactivate them one by one, check your feed each time.
