I especially liked your list of top hosting companies and I was very happy to see that mine is among them. Thanks for always giving us beginners helpful advice.
Never have when through a blog article as amazing as this, really valuable suggestions & insights. First time checking out this blog, though I have known for a long time. Keep the value coming
Syed,
Thank you for this in depth review of hosting. I currently have a reseller account through Hostgator for small business clients who don’t have large website needs. I have found Hostgator to have a great support chat system.
this is so helpful. i’ve been toying with the idea for a year or so about moving to a hosted version of WP but really didn’t know where to begin with the hosting platform. you’ve certainly given me some detailed info to consider
I use Dream Host because they offer a monthly plan. I wonder why they don’t all offer monthly plans. Some people really cannot come up with the money to buy one or two year plans.
HostGator and SiteGround both offer monthly plans as well. The challenge is that month to month billing is considerably higher than multi-year pricing. This is because of high fraud / churn on hosting.
Often spammers buy a monthly plan to use the servers for malicious items and then leave (worst they even use stolen credit cards). This is a lot of hassle for companies to deal with this is why most discourage month to month options.
I have used Siteground, and the customer service is phenomenal! It is a little bit pricey though, especially if you are just learning how to build a website/blog.
Great article about hosting and hosting options. What I really like about WPBeginner is the range of available information. Certainly most focused on WP, but so much more focused on all things internet. Great learning and keeping up to date articles and information.
One of your blog posts awhile back gave some credit to SiteGround for their pricing, service level, security, etc. I went ahead and purchased via your link and haven’t been disappointed! They always keep my site up to date. I just need to follow some more of your tutorials in trying to actually get my site built. Thanks for all your beginner-friendly info!
Very helpful and full of insights. I’m so thankful to WPBeginner for migrating my blog from Blogger to Wordpress. It just made my blog rank better in google search
Thanks for this nice article about hosting providers! I would like to add that the top hosting providers presented in this article don’t offer the best price-quality ratio. I am a WordPress developer and designer and I need lost of domains and subdomains. The top hosting providers offer only a limited number of domains and bandwidth for a WordPress plan. There are other hosting providers that offer that for almost half the price. I agree that the top hosting providers have the best support. However, if you are an experienced WordPress developer, you don’t need much hosting support.
Thanks for this really nice article about hosting! I would like to add that the top hosting providers don’t always offer the best price-quality ratio. I am a WordPress developer and designer, so I use lots of domains and subdomains. The top hosts that are presented in this article offer a limited number of domains and bandwidth for WordPress. Other hosting providers offer the same for almost half the price. The performance is also mostly the same. In terms of support, Ia agree that the top hosts are the best. However, if you are a pro WordPress developer, you don’t need much support.
It all depends on the type of website but for up to 100,000 monthly visitors you can still stay on the higher end of shared hosting plans. After that, you’ll likely need to consider moving up to managed hosting plans.
Great article, thank you.
Which pagebuilder and elearning plugins would you recommend for the teaching system for group of students? Is it possible to use free ones?
I have used Bluehost for well over 10 years now for a number of websites and I am looking forward to learning WordPress to convert my websites from html coded pages. It has been a challenge so far and I’m glad to find great resources for help!
Thanks for your great article WPbeginner. Indeed, WP Beginner is the number one resource and option for me when it comes to solve a WordPress relevant issue.
A special thanks to Syed Balkhi for this great initiative for free of cost.
You can read our readers’ A2 Hosting reviews. There are a lot of hosting providers out there, but we tried to keep this list to the top recommendations only to avoid choice paralysis.
Your move to Siteground earlier this year convinced me to try them. I have several domains there now and will have all my domains there before the end of July. So far I am happy with them and appreciate your write-ups about them.

At what volume of monthly visits would you recommend going from Shared hosting to something better?

Site Ground is first and then comes Dream Host in my list of preferences.
All the hosting providers you have mentioned are worth considering depending on locations and requirements.
