Great list… thanks for putting it together for us! My favorite WP theme to use on client sites is iThemes Builder. It’s got a fantastic layout editor that uses “building blocks” — modules — for creating unique page templates. They also have 100+ pre-made child themes that already have the basic layouts included and can be quickly customized by the user, which saves even more time.
The coding is super-clean and the support team is awesome. I’ve tried using other themes throughout the last several years and I always end up going BACK to iThemes… that’s not me being inflexible — it’s because they’ve got a high-quality product.

I am surprised that you didn’t include the Studio Press framework and their great themes which are easily customizable and lower in price than Michael Hyatt’s and others listed here. I’ve used them for years and I’m not a web designer or developer. It’s easy for non-techies like myself.

Hi Deborah, I had to comment
I’m a spiritual seeker and follow a lot of metaphysical teachers/alternative healing/etc. blogs. The one comment I always laugh at is WHY oh WHY do they choose a website that looks like a galaxy, purple and indigo stars everywhere, magenta font, I think you know exactly what I mean! Not saying that you would do that but it made me think. Anyway, I’m currently building a new blog for conscious travelers (On The Purple Path) and chose a minimalist design. It’s easy to read, clean, and you can beautify it with photos but themes are easier to digest when they’re minimal, monochromatic especially since you want to reach out to the people who would be turned off from an “airy fairy” look.

I would guess that I save about 75% of your emails in a special folder for future reference. Sorry to say, but this is one I will NOT be saving. My pockets are not that deep, and there are thousands of excellent themes in the $50.00 to $80.00 range that I can afford.

Customising is easy but I charge heavily for the research that goes into unearthing that perfect theme for my clients.

If you don’t see value in some of the features provided by the above-mentioned themes then most likely you wouldn’t buy them even for $50.

I do not see the reason to pay the extra expense when themes such as Avada and Betheme offer far better value.
