Matt MullenwegがWordPress公式ブログで待望のWordPress 3.1のリリースを発表しました。9月に「WordPress 3.1で実現すること（機能編）」という投稿を行い、搭載されるかもしれない機能をこっそりご紹介しました。今回の投稿では、リリースに含まれる機能のキーワードと、含まれなかった機能について、クールなスクリーンショットを交えてご紹介します。
WordPress 投稿フォーマット
WordPress 3.1では、複数の投稿フォーマットを設定できるオプションが追加されました。投稿フォーマットとは？投稿フォーマットとは、投稿の表示をカスタマイズするためにテーマが使用できるメタ情報のことです。投稿フォーマットとは、わかりやすく言うと、特定の投稿をスタイリングするための方法です。この機能を使うことで、特定の投稿の表示「フォーマット」を指定することができます。この機能によって、WordPressのマイクロブログの側面が拡張され、動画、リンク、画像、音声ファイル、引用、状態などをすべて1つの場所に表示することができるようになり、さらに、それに応じてスタイリングされるのが最大の特徴です。開発者にとっては、カスタム・タクソノミーがより整理され、標準化のためにビルトインされていることを除けば、特に違いはありません。Wumblr – Microblogging Theme for WordPressのようなテーマが、ユーザーにより多く提供されることを期待したい。

WordPress管理バー
WordPress.comのブログを使ったことがある人なら、すでにおなじみだろう。WordPress 3.1では、ブログのフロントエンドとバックエンドをつなぐ管理者が追加されます。この機能はマルチサイトインストールのユーザーにとって最も便利だが、ダッシュボードや新規投稿フォームなどに1クリックでアクセスできるため、個別サイトユーザーにとっても便利だろう。Matt Mullenwegによると、これは「フロントエンドエディターへの第一歩」だという。
WordPressの内部リンク
内部リンクはWordPressのSEOにとって素晴らしいものだ。新規: ブロガーが過去の投稿にリンクを追加したい場合、ブラウザーで新しいタブを開き、URLを見つけてから追加しなければならなかった。しかし、WordPress 3.1では、コアチームが内部リンクシステムを提供し、データベースの中から適切な投稿を検索してリンクを貼ることができるようになった。この機能を使うには、ビジュアル投稿エディターを使い、ハイパーリンクを作成する必要があります。上のスクリーンショットで見ることができる新しい設定が追加されました。
Ajax化されたページ送りとカラム
過去のWordPress投稿のページ送りをソートするのは面倒でした。現在は、移動したいページの番号を入力するだけです。また、カラムもソートできるようになった。ご覧のように、タイトルの右側に矢印があります。
アドミンブルーテーマのリフレッシュ
管理画面のブルーテーマのUIがリフレッシュされました。そのためのコアチケットです。
高度なタクソノミークエリー
これは初心者向けではありませんが、開発者には嬉しい機能だと思います。この機能により、より簡単に高度なクエリーを実行できるようになります。例えば、今現在は “cars “カテゴリーにありながら “BMW “タグを持たない投稿を検索する方法はありません。そのため、ユーザーは複数のタクソノミーをシミュレートするために複雑なカテゴリーシステムを作成しなければならない。これにより、WordPressの限界を超えようとしている開発者にとって、投稿やその他の投稿タイプのソートが非常に簡単になります。詳しくはMultiple Taxonomy Queriesをご覧ください。
よりクリーンな書き込みパネル
WordPressはすべて（初心者、中級者、上級者など）のユーザーに利用されているため、UIチームはWordPressカスタムフィールドエリアなど、初期設定でわかりにくい多くのフィールドを削除することで、書き込みパネルをよりすっきりさせることにしました。しかし、WordPressダッシュボードを画面タブでカスタマイズすることで、これらのフィールドを取得することができます。
新規：特権管理者ネットワークダッシュボード
これにより、サイトネットワーク管理者はユーザー・管理者ダッシュボードとは区切られた新しいスーパー管理者ダッシュボードを手に入れることができます。独自のメニューやページなどがあります。これにより、個々のサイトの通常の管理ダッシュボードからごちゃごちゃしたものを取り除くことができます。ネットワーク管理画面の詳細。
カスタム投稿タイプアーカイブ
WordPress 3.0では、カスタム投稿タイプが導入された。しかし、開発者がカスタム投稿タイプごとにカスタムページを作成しない限り、特定のカスタム投稿タイプを一覧するアーカイブページを持つ方法はありませんでした。WordPress 3.1では、新しいページが自動的に生成されます。(すごい！）。
WordPress 3.1では2,000以上のコミットがありました。コアチームは懸命に働き、クリスマス休暇前にリリースする予定だったため、リリースが2ヶ月遅れたほどだ。しかし、繰り返しになりますが、私たちは、大量の機能をドロップするよりも、完全なバージョンを手に入れたかったのです。WordPress 3.2には、次のバージョンに含まれることを期待したい、良い機能が1つ追加されました。
QuickPressテンプレートタグの強化
QuickPress、カスタム投稿タイプに対応し、そのためのフロントエンドコードを用意する計画がありました。これはバージョン3.2に移されました。コア開発者であるAndrew Nacin氏は次のように述べています：
「最終的には、寄稿者のグループが、このようなものを本当に適切に柔軟にするために実行する必要があります。これは、jorbinによる素晴らしい仕事以上の牽引力にはならなかった。

there is this ‘roundup’ post feature in my wordpress and I can’t figure out what it is.. I have looked everywhere.. can someone help me? it doesn’t look like the ‘round up plugin’ thats available on wordpress..

I am a little confused. Is this upgrade only for blogs hosted on wordpress.org based on the 1st comment i saw ? As my blog is hosted on the free wordpress.com.

WordPress.com users already have this update done automatically. WordPress.org users have to do this themselves.

I’m enjoying the upgrade. I used the BackUp Buddy plugin to back up my entire site beforehand, but fortunately it was a smooth transition.
I agree with Editor B, really glad you did the screenshot to show how the internal linking works.
I’d love to see some examples of what the different post formats look like. Guess I need to play around with some drafts and preview them. Maybe I’ll make a screencast after I figure them out

I am still using 3.0.4 version but I feel scared to upgrade because last time when I upgraded from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4, my blogger importer had stopped working. And my web designer has made some changes to default wordpress files that I don’t know. I may lose all the changes to my wordpress blog.

I wonder if you could help me out. Yesterday I updated to WordPress 3.1, but today I notice that my homepage is no longer excluding certain categories from showing the excerpts. I still have the followiing in the custom_functions.ph file (ID of category I want to exclude is “4″, the “News” category)

Hi, I’m using TinyMCE Advanced, and the internal linking feature doesn’t seem to be available in this case. Do you know if there’s a fix already available for this issue?

Very helpful. I was going crazy trying to figure how the internal linking worked. As you clearly indicate, gotta use the visual editor for that. I prefer the HTML editor, but this is worth clicking over.

this is very interesting too bad im using the wordpress.com but I’ve managed to work with what I have to make my blog a lot better. Heres hoping for similar added features in the future for the .com counterpart
