Syed Balkhiです。本日は、WordPressチュートリアルやWordCampセッションでよく使われる用語を一覧にして解説するWPBeginner Glossaryの立ち上げをお知らせします。
WordPressの奇妙なキーワードや略語に戸惑ったことがあるなら、まずはここから始めましょう。WordPress初心者のために、WordPressの専門用語をわかりやすく説明するよう最善を尽くしました。
このアイデアはどこから来たのですか？
WordCamp Columbus 2012の初心者ワークショップで話しているとき、参加者の一人が手を挙げて私にこう質問した：
「ウィジェットって何ですか？WordPressの専門用語が調べられる辞書があったら便利なんだけど……」。
セッションの後、私は彼女と一緒に座り、彼女の質問にたくさん答えた。イベントから戻ると、今年の初めまで、私はそのアイデアをすっかり忘れていた。
WordCamp Miamiを開催している間、何人かのユーザーが私のところにやってきて、ショートコードとは何か、投稿タイプとは何かなどの質問をした。
その夜、私は腰を下ろし、WordPressのキーワードをわかりやすく説明するWordPress用語集のアクションプランを作成した。
スクールの設立、フローティングソーシャルバーの立ち上げ、List25のデザイン変更、SteadyStrengthの立ち上げ、OptinMonsterの立ち上げなど、忙しい6ヶ月を経て、ついにWPBeginner用語集が完成しました。
現在、グロッサリーには100を少し超えるキーワードがありますが、さらに追加していく予定です。
