I’m using Siteground Hosting from past 5 months. Their support is a nice plus good uptime.

    Reliable hosting.

  2. Nick

I have used Bluehost, SiteGround, and HostGator in the past. I think they are very similar when it comes to site performance. The big difference for me has been customer service and support. That’s where HostGator has exceeded my expectations by always responding quickly.

  3. Jan

Awesome, in-depth content as usual! Thanks for making it easier for us non-techies. Keep up the good work.

  4. Patricia Goodman

Great article, lots of information, I will probably need to revisit it

  5. Jean

Great post. What your thought on Namecheap and Hostpapa?

    • Editorial Staff

Both are great providers. We even have some HostPapa user reviews on our site. We don’t have them listed on this page to avoid choice paralysis, and we believe the providers on this page offer top notch service.

I have enjoyed using Bluehost for over a decade.

  7. Prashant

I am planning to change the host for my wife’s blog, and this article really helps to weigh the options available.

  8. Kudabo Victory

Now and always, wpbeginner has always been my guide on anything about WordPress

    Thank you

  9. Maneesh Sharma

Great and informative article. I picked Siteground after comparing all webhostings here.

I was able to up my blog within 2 hours and its working great now. Many thanks to you too.

Any Canadian managed hosting services. Exchange rate are just killing monthly subscription fees never know what the cost is going to be.

    • Editorial Staff

Hmm that’s a good question. As far as we know, HostPapa offers Canada servers, but they don’t offer CAD prices.

Exchange rates are indeed an issue. For managed hosting, we recommend WP Engine.

    Great article.
I am using Siteground, excellent service.

  12. Suyog

SiteGround is my first choice, when it comes to WordPress Build. Best thing is Support.

  13. Rahul Biswas

I Love WPEngine! They provided me with a Cloudflare enterprise plan and dedicated server with unlimited resources (I needed a dedicated server due to my site receiving over 500K hits a month) with Unlimited bandwidth!

  14. Dan Greene

Siteground is great, always very speedy for my needs.

  15. Lynn

I switched to GreenGeeks last year and have been impressed from Day 1. Their customer support is top notch. Quick to respond, always available, and patient with tech-challenged questions.

  16. TheCheerBuzz

This post was a complete lifesaver as I was choosing website hosting late last year!

Detailed, easily explained (priceless for us who aren’t super tech-savvy) and the perfect amount of information needed.

I ultimately went for Dreamhost and couldn’t have made a better choice, much thanks to WPbeginner!

I’m also a member of your Facebook group and cannot even explain how valuable it has been so far and will continue to be.

    THANK YOU!

  17. Syed Tauqeer

I am using SiteGround and it’s one of the best hosting

  18. Chinmay

Thanks for such a detailed article. I agree. I have been hosting my website on Bluehost & I am completely happy with them. Reliable uptimes, prompt support & the new cPanel dashboard has everything I need.

  19. Mark Roth

I’m in the slow process of moving from HostGator to SiteGround. I’m disappointed not to see cPanel at SiteGround. But maybe I’ll be glad in the long run. :)

    • Editorial Staff

Yes, they recently removed cPanel, but to be honest the native admin panel in SiteGround is really user-friendly. Bluehost is moving towards a similar direction as well.

We believe overtime many hosts will switch to a more user-friendly (non-cPanel) admin panel.

I think HostGator is the best. Which one does WPBeginner use?

    • Editorial Staff

We used HostGator for over 10 years but earlier this year switched to SiteGround because their servers are now hosted on Google Cloud which leads to really fast speed.

  35. BRENDAN RYAN

You may need to edit this article. I seem to remember a recent article where you moved WPBeginner to a custom hosting on Siteground last year. You also mention that early in the article summarizing the top players. Further down your article in the tests still shows It as being hosted on HostGator in the Pro’s for that site? Not trying to be smart, just the editorial staff missed editing that entry?

    • WPBeginner Support

Thank you for pointing that out, the next time we update the article we will look at updating this.

  36. Itivere Desmond

Thanks! This article really taught me something. I don’t really understand the term “SSL”, Can you give me a link?

    • Michael Kelley

Keep in mind, free SSL certs can be obtained independent of your hosting service these days. The integrated tools the hosts provide make it much easier to implement however.

  37. Oskar

    Hi,

What type of quiz plugin are you guys using on this post? Really awesome!

This is a great article. You have many on you site. I may be missing the placeto do this but do you have a link to print an article. Ilike to red and sometimes make notes so I prefer to print articles.

    • WPBeginner Support

At the moment we do not have a print button on our site.

Hi, do you know if any of the services can manage .com-br domains? I have the domain registred but at bluehost it did not seem I could use it.

    • WPBeginner Support

Sadly, you would need to reach out to the hosting providers to see if they support that domain extension.

      Admin

  44. Amos Struck

Which Hosing Provider you are using as your loading time is less than 2 Seconds in India.

I want hosting for lightning speed in India also good Price.

  46. Sandhiya Saminadhan

I use SiteGround’s WordPress Hosting and the GoGeek package. It’s absolutely brilliant for speed and this is so important these days. It performs well when testing with Pingdom and Google PageSpeed. It also provides daily backups and a staging feature which lets me create a copy of my live site which I can switch around quickly.

    • WPBeginner Support

Thanks for sharing what you use for your site :)
