L’histoire de WPBeginner
J’ai commencé à utiliser WordPress à l’âge de 16 ans et j’ai créé WPBeginner à l’âge de 19 ans avec une seule mission : rendre WordPress facile pour les débutants.
Depuis, WPBeginner est devenu le plus grand site de ressources WordPress gratuites pour les débutants.

Mises à jour personnelles
Mon fils, Solomon, a maintenant 2,5 ans. Il grandit vite et je profite de chaque instant passé avec lui. Amanda (ma femme) et Solomon m’accompagnent dans la plupart de mes voyages d’affaires et nous avons également fait plusieurs voyages d’agrément.
Depuis la dernière publication de l’anniversaire de WPBeginner, nous sommes allés en Espagne, en Italie, à Porto Rico, à Saint-Martin, au Mexique (Tulum, Punta Mita, Cozumel, Costa Maya), au Canada, et nous avons fait plusieurs voyages aux États-Unis, notamment un roadtrip mémorable à travers l’Utah où nous avons visité les plus grands parcs nationaux.
La semaine dernière, nous avons fait notre retraite d’entreprise à Orlando, FL, où nous avons célébré le 10ème anniversaire de WPBeginner un peu plus tôt que prévu. Voici quelques photos :
Mises à jour de WPBeginner
En entrant dans la 10e année, WPBeginner a continué à croître dans un pourcentage à deux chiffres (année après année). En plus des tonnes de tutoriels WordPress sur notre blog, il y a eu plusieurs mises à jour notables de l’année dernière, que j’aimerais souligner.
1. Nous avons lancé le groupe Facebook WPBeginner Engage.
Beaucoup d’entre vous l’ont demandé, alors la semaine dernière nous avons enfin lancé notre groupe Facebook.
WPBeginner Engage est un endroit idéal pour partager et apprendre des astuces pour utiliser WordPress tout en faisant connaissance avec d’autres utilisateurs/utilisatrices.
En plus du support entre pairs et du partage de connaissances, nous allons également offrir des prix exclusifs et des cadeaux tout au long de l’année.

2. Nouvelle infrastructure d’hébergeur
Pour célébrer le 10ème anniversaire de WPBeginner, j’ai reçu un beau cadeau de notre partenaire hébergeur WordPress, HostGator. Ils ont complètement revu notre infrastructure d’hébergeur pour la rendre encore plus robuste et rapide.
Voici un aperçu de la nouvelle configuration :
Je ferai un article plus détaillé sur ce sujet dans les semaines à venir pour expliquer à quel point c’est cool, et les améliorations de performance que nous avons vues.
Les ressources supplémentaires du serveur seront très utiles pour notre nouvelle section d’outils sur WPBeginner.
Je suis client/cliente d’HostGator depuis 2007, et le site WPBeginner est hébergé chez eux depuis le premier jour (voir mon avis complet sur HostGator). Je tiens à remercier toute l’équipe qui nous a aidés à mettre à niveau notre site.
Note : WPBeginner utilise une configuration cloud personnalisée de HostGator (pas d’hébergement partagé). Nous avons commencé avec un hébergement partagé lorsque nous étions petits, mais au fur et à mesure que notre site grandissait, nous nous sommes mis à niveau vers les offres supérieures.
3. Cours gratuits sur YouTube + 141 305+ abonnés/abonnées
Beaucoup d’entre vous savent déjà que je suis obsédé par notre chaîne YouTube.
Nous avons récemment dépassé les 141 305 abonnés/abonnées.
En plus de créer des tutoriels vidéo pour nos publications de blog, nous créons désormais du contenu exclusif uniquement sur YouTube.
Il s’agit de mini-cours gratuits sur les thèmes suivants : comment développer votre liste d’e-mail, comment gagner de l’argent en bloguant, comment améliorer votre référencement, etc.
Sérieusement, jetez un coup d’œil à tout ce que notre équipe fait sur YouTube (en particulier la nouvelle section Playlists).
4. Instagram et Pinterest
Plusieurs d’entre vous m’ont demandé pourquoi WPBeginner n’est pas sur d’autres réseaux sociaux en dehors de Twitter et Facebook.
Je n’avais pas de bonne réponse parce que je savais que nous devrions être sur ces réseaux sociaux.
Et bien maintenant nous le sommes.

5. Fonds d’accélération de la croissance de WPBeginner
L’année dernière, j’ai créé le tout premier fonds d’accélérateur de croissance axé sur WordPress.
L’objectif était simple : investir dans des entreprises de produits et de services WordPress pour les aider à développer leur activité tout en créant des produits étonnants pour nos utilisateurs/utilisatrices.
Mes premiers investissements dans le cadre du fonds de croissance ont inclus : MemberPress, Pretty Links, Affiliate Royale, Formidable Forms et SeedProd.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec des entrepreneurs aussi talentueux et leur servir de mentor a été pour moi une expérience extrêmement enrichissante.

My plan is that if someone wants to build an online store or online shop and they are in search of good domain name as i have like easymagazin.com so they can contact me i will allow them to make by delegate access by godaddy to my domain. they pay me monthly. it can be any website not necesarily shop. i want to keep my domain instead of selling it through auction listing. magazin means shop in macadonian language.so i want that domain should be with me only but the other provider can use the website with my domain for there business and they will be paying you every month. Is this possible. What should i do in this regard, I need sincere guidance. Thanks

I rarely see domain royalty deals these days unless you have a one word or very short domain. In most cases its not in the buyers interest to keep paying a monthly fee and build a brand that they don’t own themselves.

I have learned to love Wordpress. I am 73 years old and began 18 months ago creating my website with the assistance of daily phone calls at 20 minutes each (one day I spent 6 hours redialing and asking questions) and by the end of the month was able to have IPage upload everything and viola the website was live. I work a little bit every day (because I have another job too) and each day I learn more and more.
